BoringArt.com Are ready to become boring??

Exhibition launch date 4th Sept '03

"We are bored when we don't know what we are waiting for. That we do know,
or think we know, is nearly always the expression of our superficiality or
inattention. Boredom is the threshold to great deeds. -Now it would be
important to know: What is the dialectical antithesis to boredom?" [D2,7]

Brooke Knight addresses to this very concept of boredom in 'An investigation
of things you could be doing rather than watching this piece' - 'An Hour of
Your Time' with a vertigo of overlapping ideas and suggestions.

There is nothing you can do but watch! You cannot stop the time!

Isn't this the grandeur of any contemplation?

Indifference before the very objects (of art) sic. while you could be
thinking of all the 'other things' 'to feat'.
Would you have the luxury of 'taking time' instead of 'taking notes'?
Will you resist for an hour?

"Boredom is always the external surface of unconscious events. For this
reason, it has appeared to the great dandies as a mark of distinction.
Ornament and boredom." [D2a,2]
